In Albania, medication is often just as expensive—or even more expensive—than in Germany, the Netherlands, or Norway. However, the average income is only a fraction of that. Someone earning 600 euros per month is already considered to have a well-paying job.
To make matters worse, many people have no health insurance. Right now, during the cold winter months, many children and adults in our community are sick, and we are stepping in to pay for their medication.
Every year, we spend approximately 3,600 euros to ensure that those in need receive the medicines they require.
